I'm sure you know the saying, "Dress for success" or "If you look good, you'll feel good." While looks aren't everything and a healthy, balanced viewpoint of oneself is necessary, there is truth in caring about your appearance and giving a good first impression. After all, most of us, if not all, tend to go by what we see first - it's only natural. For myself, I go through my closet and thoughtfully throw an outfit together for the next day. Especially when I worked in an office environment, I'd LOVE to give my office wear a "theme" each day, if you will.
For example, on Mondays, I would wear something preppy - a cute collared button-up blouse with a warm cardigan (because you KNOW the office stays frigid) and have my collar overlap the neck of my cardigan, neatly tucked into either a nicely pressed pair of slacks or a skirt, slap on a stylish yet simple belt and rock kitten-heel pumps. On other days, I'd mix it up a bit and wear sneakers instead (I'm a bit of a sneakerhead 😎👟) On my favorite day of the week, Fridays, we were allowed to go in a little more casual, so I'd wear a nice pair of denim jeans with a t-shirt and my cowgirl boots. I absolutely LOVE incorporating the Western feel into my wardrobe; it's just such a classic fashion style. Am I right?!

Speaking of Western, let's dig into this fashion style a bit. As a Cowgirl at heart, I love showing how versatile Western wear really is, even in an office environment! So many of my coworkers would comment on how they'd never thought of matching a print with a different color and then tying it off with a hint of the old West. No, you don't have to wear a cowboy hat to work unless you can, then I'd say go for it! But for the majority of my office girlies, I'm sharing some ideas for you today and encourage you to tastefully step out of your comfort zone and freshen up your office look. It doesn't always have to be the same monotonous color scheme!
Where to Look
Okay, so before we begin, I have to say that as a savvy shopper, I look for amazing staple pieces of clothing in different places: clearance racks, local thrift stores, and online stores. This includes SHEIN. Now, why have I constantly brought up SHEIN when talking about fashion? Because I have LITERALLY seen and purchased items from Shein and have seen them for double or even triple the price in stores! Yes, it is true! Some don't like online shopping, and others don't trust Shein; they've heard things from different people and media reports. I am speaking from my own personal experience: I have never had an issue purchasing from Shein, and I've been doing so for the last 6 years, at least. So, in today's post, I will include a few affiliate links to SHEIN of clothing I have purchased or have in my WishList that have great reviews, and that will save you big!
As a SHEIN affiliate, I earn from qualifying purchases made through the links provided in this post at no extra cost to you. A SHEIN account is not necessary for purchases, but it does unlock free features and benefits for shoppers!
Classy Tops
Let's get it started with the tops! I've selected three beautiful tops that can be worn to the office and easily be matched with almost any other piece of clothing and accessories! The first one up is one that I have a very similar print, and this blouse wasn't even online at the time I purchased mine (but now I want this one!) It's the ever so classic black and white blouse
EMERY ROSE Women Round Neck Long Sleeve Patterned Details Minimalist Blouse. Ladies, this is the PERFECT balance between Cowgirl and Corporate. You may easily pair it with a pair of any solid-color slacks, denim jeans, or a pencil skirt! This is the definition of a staple piece! Light enough to wear during Summer or Spring and can be warmed up in the Fall and Winter! Not to mention the beautiful button detail on the back and on the sleeves! Ugh, truly, the more I see it, the more I want it - even though I already have its twin.

This next one gives the preppy vibe but is nonetheless a great staple piece to have in your closet. The possibilities are endless with this one, too! Meet the
Vintamour Vintage Flared Cuff Blouse. The bell-flared sleeves are a weakness of mine, and I nab these anytime I find them because they also work for the chic bohemian look, a nice summer outfit with denim shorts and a cute pair of leather sandals, or a simple yet fun look with a pencil skirt and pumps for the workforce. And that collar?! With the beautiful detail of simple ruffles and a dainty bow on the sleeves?! The stuff of dreams! Very beautiful top!

I have been ogling at this one for a bit because I love the print! I am big on print on blouses, pants, and skirts and mixing them up with other pieces in my closet. Ladies, do not fear print! Prints actually allow you to make a million different outfits without needing to have a whole mall-sized closet. Look at this and tell me the possibilities aren't endless:
SHEIN Clasi Allover Print Mock Neck Flounce Sleeve Blouse. Ya'll. The colors, the print, the style, its Western vibes all the way for me, and the versatility make this a staple piece! Hear me out: Pair this top with a solid color pair of slacks (literally any color), a pencil skirt of also any color, or a pair of denim jeans, denim shorts, or a denim skirt. Slip into an elegant pair of pumps or heels, sandals, or, you guessed it, a pair of cowgirl boots, and you are GOLDEN!

All of these tops can be worn with a suit, a blazer, or even a vest! Ugh, did I tell you I am also obsessed with vests?! I have this one currently in my closet:
Western Wear Women Corduroy Vest. Pair this vest, for example, with the blouse we just talked about and a pair of denim jeans, and you'll be ready for a Rodeo Date Night. Or, swap the jeans for a pair of black, brown, or cream/khaki slacks, and we're giving the posh cowgirl vibes! In case you haven't noticed already, I thoroughly enjoy clothing shopping and creating different outfits with different prints and styles to create something new, creative, and refreshing. I literally have a gazillion more ideas for the Western workwear edition, but I have to pace myself and not overwhelm you, either, my most valued reader. So, I'll do this: next week, I'll do the Western Wear Edition part 2 and share options for pants and skirts that can be outfitted with these tops, and I'll add some belt ideas, too! And if you aren't much into the Western style, that's okay! These pieces work perfectly for any style, any event, and any season! So follow me and get more outfit inspo from me next week.
Thank you so much for spending time with me and for your continued support! Stay beautiful!
