Get in Bed!

I know - it's Monday, and telling you to get in bed isn't much encouragement to Life today, but I promise you, I mean well. Remember, last week, we talked about 3 factors that can help you accomplish the FarmHouse feel for your bedroom (if you don't recall, go to the FarmHouse Feel label, and you'll find my article here). Well, I'd like to go into the bedroom scene again and share some ideas on bed frame ideas and styles that are simple, savvy, and will add that cozy farmhouse mood you want to nail.

Now, you might think, "It's just a bed frame, no one is going to really pay attention to what it looks like." I beg to differ, respectfully. It's all about the details, even the ones that are not so obvious - these are the ones that really add to the feel of your space. Depending on the FarmHouse vibe you are after, whether the Modern farmhouse, French Cottage, Rustic, or Industrial, the bed frame you choose can impact the way your space develops. Although, truthfully, unless you are going for a mid-evil, dungeon vibe, most bed frames you see can work to achieve the FarmHouse or Mid-Century Modern look, especially wood and metal frames.

About a year ago, I was helping my mom redo my old bedroom (yes, she had it the exact way I left it when I moved out after getting married). My old bedroom set was so dated; it was an awful yellow wood-stained bed and so bulky - not my style, honestly. She wanted to refresh the room by converting it into a guest bedroom, so I gladly helped her sell the old bulky bed frame on Facebook and got her a much simpler, minimalist bed frame, specifically this one: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C144MVT8/ref=nosim?tag=francopin92-20. No box spring is needed (which I love!), and the 14-inch height was the perfect height for the mattress to comfortably get on and off the bed. The assembling is quick and easy, and it even has under-bed storage space. Let's not forget the price - under $80! For the price, this is a GREAT bed frame option for the minimalist and modern farmhouse home stylist!

For myself, I love wood decorations and furniture. I just find them beautiful, timeless, and versatile, and knowing that something is made of real wood means it will last me a long time, given the right care. This next bed frame is one that I have on my personal wishlist, and I love everything about it! It is currently available for Queen and King size mattresses, comes in a natural walnut or mocha finish, and is made of solid wood: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DDKZ2R9F/ref=nosim?tag=francopin92-20. The best part - it's under $500, with a 4.8-star rating!!! Like, c'mon! Guys, this is an incredibly savvy purchase! The design is simple, yet perfect for that FarmHouse look you're after (and me! I LOVE everything farmhouse), and the headboard! Ugh, I love it! Our current bed frame doesn't have one, and it's driving me insane, but I have to pace myself. One room at a time!

Whether it's a total room remodel or a simple upgrade, buying a bed frame doesn't have to be complicated or expensive. These two options I shared with you are budget-friendly and timeless, the very things this blog is all about!
