My Favorite Farmhouse Bedroom Decor Ideas
It's a new year, a new month, and a new week, and I am in the "let's change it up mood"! I am currently in the middle of remodeling and facelifting one of the guest bedrooms, and my brain is flooded with ideas. I'm sure many of you know the feeling of motivational overwhelmingness - you're so pumped with ideas for a room that you don't know where to start, or halfway into the project, you start overthinking the final look you have in your mind. Yeah, been there. Done that. And repeat ð
Fortunately, I have the basic factors down, the ones I know I want to incorporate into this guest bedroom. I have always been a fan of the beautiful white farmhouse that's cozy yet simple. The staple features to nail this look, in my opinion anyway, involve 3 things: neutral color tones, rustic details, and a complimenting pop of color. What do I mean by this? Pick a primarily neutral color for the largest feature of your room, like the walls flooring, or even your bed. This is the first factor that your mind will connect to a mood; in my case, I want my guests to feel light and relaxed.
The second factor is rustic details. Adding wood or metal details is quite honestly a timeless style. Whether it's an old wooden chest at the end of the bed, an industrial-style floor lamp, or a rustic wooden nightstand, accent chair, or blanket ladder, this feature will give the room the warm farmhouse feel without detracting from the Home away from home feel.
And thirdly, the complimenting pop of color. For those who don't know me, I LOVE plants and have incorporated them into almost every room of my house. The pop of green from a real or fake plant, a knitted blanket, or a throw pillow will tie in the serene mood into your bedroom. Of course, green was just my example of a pop of color; you can use any complimenting color depending on the mood or theme you want to give your guest bedroom.
I am still in the first stage of revamping our guest bedroom - stripping off old layers of paint from the walls but with these 3 factors in mind, I know the direction I want to go with it. And, I saved some AWESOME finds I found on Amazon that hit all of my factors. I'll share them with you; they may be just what you are looking for to elevate your home ððĄðŦķ

Factor 1: the neutral tone for the big feature in your bedroom.
I included the bed as being a large feature because it is the first thing you look at when you walk into a room (like when you walk into a hotel suite, Air BnB bedroom, etc). So, I saved this beautiful, simple, and versatile comforter set to my Wish List I absolutely LOVE the simple detailing and the fact that it's a 3-piece set, which allows for the personalization of accent pillows: www.amazon.com/dp/B0BC1F9B6V/ref=nosim?tag=francopin92-20.
Factor 2: the rustic details. Again, we can do either wood or metal accents or combine them. I have been a huge fan of the blanket ladders; they're versatile for the theme you want to give your guest bedroom or any space in your home, and they are useful - literally can either drape blankets or quilts on them, use it to hang hats, scarves, totes, you name it. This one is at a really good price with good reviews, AND it's priced at 30% off PLUS an additional 10% off coupon to apply for purchasing: www.amazon.com/dp/B0C8ZFT28H/ref=nosim?tag=francopin92-20. Seriously, it's a great deal! You need to get this now! ð
❗❗BONUS PRODUCT: I'm also going to add this beautiful arched mirror that can serve as a beautiful accent piece in any room that can add to the feel of your space: www.amazon.com/dp/B0CKV7VKBB/ref=nosim?tag=francopin92-20. I have these mirrors at this size go for over $100, and at this price, I feel it's so worth it! GET IT!!!
Factor 3: the pop of complementing color. My color is green, but you can literally use any color that goes well with your main neutral color - it can be a beautiful caramel brown, an opaque peach, or a soft lavender. I found this Olive Tree for myself: www.amazon.com/dp/B0D5HK2KHW/ref=nosim?tag=francopin92-20-. It gives that serene and simple mood without taking over the room. And, frankly, I can rotate it in different spaces of my home as I please. In my opinion, these can be pretty pricey, but this one is of very nice quality, has excellent reviews, and is currently 33% off the original price PLUS another 10% off coupon you can use at purchase. It's a win-win! ðŠī
