The Shedder
As promised, I am here today to talk to you about Dogs - yes, man's best friend! As a Dog mom myself and having worked in the pet care industry for several years, I know that there's a topic that most if not all, pet parents talk about at any given time: shedding. Yup, the never-ending supply of pet hair that finds its way into virtually impossible areas of your home, your clothes, your car, your food; you get the idea. While there may not be a permanent solution to pet shedding (I mean, come on, even humans shed hair and other things π) there are a couple of things that have helped us immensely in our home with shedding, specifically with our dog.
We have a German Shepherd, Rex, so you KNOW the shedding is a VERY real thing. It was literally a daily battle with his fur bunnies everywhere! Even our cats looked like mini Rex's, wearing his shedding fur like it was the latest fashion trend. We tried an array of de-shedding products, from gloves to brushes, the constant vacuuming or picking up fur balls along the way, and lint rollers in every corner of the house, even our car. The thought of taking Rex to the groomer sounded expensive, and, knowing him, I knew he would have been miserable; he's a bit of a mama's boy π¬. But finally, one day, we found the key to less fur, and it has been wonderful ever since! Not to mention, Rex LOVES it!
This was the game-changer for us: the dog grooming vacuum. Hear me out - doing this at least once a week has dramatically decreased the shedding for us, and again, we have a German shepherd. Rex can shed for at least 3 more dogs, and if you own a GSD or a few, or if you have a shedding dog breed, you know it's never-ending. See for yourself: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DGL6DCTV/ref=nosim?tag=francopin92-20. This vacuum has over 100 reviews with a 4.9-star rating, it de-sheds and vacuums away the fur, rather than you having to manually clean the brush and have the fur floating everywhere and all over you. It is not loud, easily stores away, and brings clippers with different-sized guards and a cleaning tool for pet beds. Believe me when I say it is worth the money, and this one is currently on Amazon's Limited Time Deal with 46% off the original price for Prime members.

If you have more than one shedding fur baby, this one is perfect: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DBVLQGXR/ref=nosim?tag=francopin92-20. It has a larger dust cup at 3.2 liters, has high-rated reviews, and is currently 20% off the original price for Prime members with an additional $20 coupon. Either way, having this home pet grooming vacuum is perfect for weekly de-shedding or for maintenance between groomer visits.
Another item that I bought, along with the pet grooming vacuum life-saver, was this lightweight cordless vacuum for our home: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DCBXWFKC/ref=nosim?tag=francopin92-20. We have an older model Rainbow vacuum cleaner, and while I highly recommend Rainbow vacuums - literally, every household should have one, this cordless vacuum is PERFECT for quick cleans and touch-ups. And for the price, it's a no-brainer that has helped us with Rex's shedding. Of course, realistically speaking, there will be fur, but there will be a lot less, and trust me, your dog will LOVE the spa treatment πΆππ©·
